Scuba Diving - Pavones EcoBeach Resort
Do you feel like diving?
At Pavones Eco Beach Resort we'll take you to Caño Island or to selected Osa Peninsula coastal sites that provide clouds of fish that literally block the sun’s rays in the clear 82F degree waters and provide dives that penetrate the parades of fishes: snapper, tuna, grouper, jack, shark, trigger fish, barracuda, manta rays, eels, porcupine fish, sponges, sea cucumbers, colored tropical fishes and other marine species are seen. More than 15 species of coral as well as the attendant coral eaters (star fish, mollusks, and hermit crabs). The terrain varies widely and includes 20’ reefs, 50’ underwater pinnacles, canyons, walls and caves. Visibility is good to excellent all year round; often marine life can be viewed 70’ below the surface.

Surface sightings can include sea turtles, whale sharks, sea snakes, and humpback whales.

Caño Island was once a refuge for pirates and a burial ground for indigenous peoples. Virtually untouched in recent centuries, the amazing diversity of marine life and the mysterious waters add up to a most memorable diving adventure.
